Annual student photography show focuses on sheltering in place

For the past few years, I have been judging the annual Ukiah High School student photography show held during the month of May at the Corner Gallery in Ukiah. This year, with the pandemic, they have decided to focus on sheltering in place and have put the photos online for all to see.

Here is the announcement:

"Shelter In Place" - 11th Annual Student Photography Show (May 1-30, 2020)

It is the month of May when Corner Gallery in Ukiah exhibits the works of aspiring student photographers from Ukiah High School. Every year there are over five hundred photographs on display at the gallery. "Shelter In Place" features photographs focused on the effect the virus has had on students' lives. The photographs are displayed in Corner Gallery windows and available for viewing from the sidewalk. 201 South State St. Stop by the gallery if you are on a walk downtown (please observe social distancing) or visit our online gallery at

Since I can’t judge the show in person this year, here are my top picks.
